Brave kids

I never showed you what my kids did last Saturday.

I was too lazy to upload the pictures. So now I am a week late, but here they are.

There was a rally at the local airport for kids to get interested in flying.

I am talking about little planes. Four seaters.

And how do you get kids interested? By showing them around the planes...
And putting them in the planes...

And taking them up for a free 15-20 minute flight. Kids only. No parents. My kids are in there. E and K were in this plane. B was in another. They both were in the air at the same time while I stayed on the ground.
Yeah, I was a nervous wreck. Only daddies let you do that kind of stuff. He kept telling me to "stop being such a mommy!". Sure, no problem. Not even when I'm dead will I quit being a mommy....

They loved it. They talked about how little everything looked and how cool it all was. They got certificates from the pilots when it was over.

They loved it. They are way braver and more adventurous than their mother.

Awesome! that is something I have always wanted to do, but have been too much of a chicken to do it. I might try it in a slightly bigger plane. That looks like so much fun. Remember Stef, your kids were much safter in that little airplane than they would be in a helicoptor. Remember an airplane can glide to safety but a helicoptor just falls out of control. (No wings) So maybe that'll give ya some peace of mind next time they take flight. I have always been a huge fan of airplanes, and would love to visit an airplane museum. After watching cast away, My fear of airplanes has increased dramatically! :) I'd like to ride in a C-130, however u can't see out the windows because there are none. When we were in Columbus a while back, we visited the international airport and while on the road, a big airplane flew right over our car. I felt like an excited little child at on Christmas morning! What a rush! :) Thanks for sharing!
